The heir of a family company created in 1928, SITOMECA was officially founded in 1952 and currently employs over 50 persons in the field of metal works.

The factory was dedicated to industrial sheetworks and metallic decoration. The company earned and maintained the confidence of their clients not only in Belgium and Europe, but gradually throughout the world.

In the early days, bodies of locomotives and electrogenic units, cabins, lift casings, etc. were among the common productions.

In time SITOMECA specialized in the development and production of flat, corrugated and curved insert steel sheets, to be used as interleaves in the production of fibre- and wood-cement panels . These again are used for roofing, siding, insulation and decoration.

From that moment onwards, the company worked mainly in export markets.

A systematic prospection of foreign markets, with the help of AGORIA, the Belgian Office for Foreign Trade, Embassy Attache's, Banks, and reliable national references, has allowed SITOMECA to develop business throughout the world.
